Skandal i klasyka. Z jednej strony to dzieło wyrastające z historii malarstwa - jego kompozycja nawiązuje do obrazu Koncert wiejski Tycjana i grafiki Sąd Parysa Marcantonio Raimondi na podstawie rysunku Rafaela. Z drugiej osadzony we współczesnych malarzowi realiach przedstawia postaci wzorowane na bliskich artysty oraz jego ulubioną modelkę. Nagi wizerunek kobiety szokował ówczesnych zwiedzających Salon Odrzuconych. W tym samym czasie inny akt - Narodziny Wenus Alexandra Cabanel - przedstawiony pod pretekstem sceny mitologicznej święcił triumfy na oficjalnym Salonie i został nabyty przez samego cesarza.
Śniadanie na trawie wielokrotnie inspirowało innych twórców. M.in. Pablo Picasso wykonał 27 obrazów, 150 rysunków, 18 makiet i 5 grafik pod wpływem dzieła Manet. Kompozycyjne relacje między przedstawionymi postaciami to jeden z możliwych tropów. Sam Manet twierdził, że malował świat takim jakim go widział, bez sztafażu. Myśląc o Śniadaniu na trawie poszłam na spacer. W parku zobaczyłam dziewczynę otoczoną światłem, a jednocześnie zupełnie zatopioną w czerni ekranu. Tak wygląda dziś moja wersja. Załączyłam też szkic nowego pomysłu, który jest rozwinięciem kompozycji o kolejne dwie postaci.

On The Grass
Scandal and classic. On the one hand, this work is arising from the history of painting - its composition refers to the Titian’s Pastoral Concert and Marcantonio Raimondi’s print Judgment of Parys based on a drawing by Rafael. On the other hand, set in contemporary realities, the painter presents characters modeled on the artist's close ones and his favorite model. The naked image of a woman shocked the visitors of the Salon des Refusés. At the same time, another act - The Birth of Venus by Alexander Cabanel - presented under the pretext of the mythological scene, celebrated triumphs at the official Salon and was acquired by the emperor himself.
Luncheon on the grass has repeatedly inspired other artists. Among others Pablo Picasso who made 27 paintings, 150 drawings, 18 mockups and 5 graphics under the influence of Manet's work. Compositional relations between the presented characters are one of the possible clues. Manet himself claimed that he painted the world as he saw it, without relay. Thinking about it, I went for a walk. In the park I saw a girl surrounded by light, while completely immersed in the black screen of laptop. This is my version today. I also attached a sketch of a new idea, in which two others characters were added.
